Rhome
This is where the TurnerCo story began in 1980 with the establishment of a septic tank installer company that moved into precasting septic tanks and other precast concrete products. Michelle and Brian Turner, expanded their casting operation into manholes in the early 2000s and embarked on a path to grow their business. Forever visionaries, they took a big decision and found themselves in 2020 as a major producer of precast concrete infrastructure products with a robotic pipe, box, and manhole production facility in Lockhart.
In 2021, a HawkeyePedershaab PipePlus machine with multiform modules for increased production capability for concrete pipe and manholes was installed at the Rhome facility.
Lockhart
The journey from Rhome led to Lockhart where TurnerCo entered modern times with its automated BFS Souveraen packerhead concrete pipe plant. Automation and robotics characterize Lockhart, the next step into the 21st Century.
Products
Certification of The TurnerCo. plants in Rhome and Lockhart by The National Precast Concrete Association demonstrates to customers that The Turner Company is serious about product quality since the NPCA Plant Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Precast concrete products produced at the Rhome and Lockhart facilities meet ASTM and AASHTO standards and specifications. ASTM International develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials including precast concrete. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) is a standards-setting organization that publishes specifications, test protocols, and guidelines that are used in highway design and construction throughout the United States.
Sales
Sales professionals at TurnerCo. know all that there is about the precast concrete products that they sell and the markets served. They are familiar with state-wide standards and specifications for the production of products, and the tests that deliver quality products to the job site. Sales staff are the people most likely to work with a client from negotiating and signing a contract for an order to inspection of the installation and onsite testing. TurneCo’s sales professionals understand that their responsibility goes beyond closing a sale and they take care to deliver an experience with TurnerCo that will result in trusting relationships and repeat sales.
Services
In addition to product sales, TurnerCo provides pre and post-sales services to help clients and owners of projects fully understand the value of precast concrete products in building resilient infrastructure within the definition of sustainable development. Many services are provided through the Texas Concrete Pipe Association and American Concrete Pipe Association where clients can access educational resources and knowledge-sharing technical specialists. Private tours of The Rhome and Lockhart facilities is a service that helps TurnerCo. staff understand the real needs and purpose of a project, and clients see firsthand the quality of workmanship that goes into every precast product leaving a TurnerCo facility.
